Background
The Parliament of the World’s Religions, the world’s largest interreligious gathering, was held December 3-9, 2009, in Melbourne, Australia. More than 5000 people attended the Parliament of the World’s Religions from every corner of the world: Buddhists, Christians, Hindus, Jews, Muslims, Baha’is, people from indigenous faiths and traditions, as well as spiritual communities of all sorts.
